  1. Pre-download Google Maps, the Chinese language dictionary on Google Translate and any other Google products and make them available off-line, as you will not have access to Google while in China.

  2. During your free time, try taking public transit - it's a real experience! Don't be afraid to push your way around!

  3. Bring a selfie-stick to take some photos - you'll fit right in!
