15 day tour Day 1 : Montreal/ Tokyo Departure for Kuala Lumpur via Chicago and Tokyo with Japan Airlines. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 2 : Tokyo Overnight courtesy Japan Airlines including transfer if there is no same-day connection to Kuala Lumpur. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 3 : Kuala Lumpur / Malacca Arrive at KLIA, meet our local rep, and transfer to your hotel in Malacca. Rest and relax. In the afternoon, depart for a historic city tour of Malacca. The visit includes the new Menara Taming Sari tower, from where you can see the city from a height of 110m, as well as Stadhuys, the most imposing relic of the Dutch period, built between 1641 and 1660 to serve as town hall and governor’s residence. Today it houses the History and Ethnography Museum. Also visit the Christ Church, the ruins of “Our Lady of the Hill,” St. Paul’s Church, and the remains of the Portuguese fortress A’Famosa. The last stop is Cheng Hoon Teng Temple - the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia. Overnight at Renaissance Malacca or similar. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 4 : Malacca/ Taman Negara [B/D] Breakfast at the hotel. Depart early for Kuala Tembeling where you'll then board a longboat for Taman Negara. On arrival at the park, check into your accommodation where you can then have a short rest before joining a briefing for an introduction to the park. In the evening, experience a night jungle walk with nature guide. Overnight at Mutiara Taman Negara Resort or similar. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 5 : Taman Negara [B/L/D] Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, go on a trek up Teresek Hill. In the afternoon, take a leisurely boat trip to Lata Berkoh, where you can dip in the cool waters of the natural pool. Overnight at Mutiara Taman Negara Resort or similar. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 6 : Taman Negara / Kuala Lumpur [B] Breakfast at the hotel. Board the longboat to transfer back to Tembeling Jetty, followed by overland transfer to Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival, check-in, rest and relax. Overnight at Seri Pacific or similar. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 7 : Kuala Lumpur [B/D] Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of Kuala Lumpur. The garden city image of KL during the city tour can prove to be extremely fascinating. Among the highlights of the tour are the National Monument, King's Palace, Central Market, the National Mosque, Independence Square and Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Petronas Twin Towers. Afternoon free to explore the city on your own. The evening tour introduces you to the Malaysian way of life. Visit Sri Mahamariamman Temple, the Open Air Bazaar of Chinatown. Enjoy the Seri Melayu Buffet and cultural show for dinner. Overnight at Seri Pacific or similar. ______________________________________________________________________________ Day 8 : Kuala Lumpur/ Penang [B] After breakfast, depart for Penang via Kuala Kangsar with tours en route. A brief stop at the gilded domed Ubudiah Mosque and Iskandariah Palace. Arrive in Penang in the afternoon, check-in to the hotel. Rest of evening free at leisure. Enjoy a tour up to the refreshing Penang Hill and a visit the largest temple in Malaysia, the Kek Lok Si Temple. Other highlights of the tour are Penang Hill by funicular train ride and the Tortoise Sanctuary. The afternoon is reserved for the discovery of Penang’s ethnocultural history. Visit Fort Cornwallis, Weld Quay, Khoo Kongsi, Harmony Road, the Pinang Peranakan museum and the E&O hotel.
